Course Description:

Description: Technical Skills Clinic, Full Day, On-Snow. Qualifies as Assessment Prep Clinic or Continuing Education

Assessment Prep Goal: This clinic will prepare candidates for mogul skiing expected at the Level 2 standard. Participants will mostly ski intermediate and advanced moguls, but may also spend time on either non-groomed and groomed terrain.

Continuing Education Goal: Improve personal skiing in intermediate and/or advanced moguls.

Clinic Outcomes: By the end of this clinic, participants will be able to:

-- Make a series of round, linked turns in intermediate and/or advanced moguls.

-- Identify and discuss the movement changes that contribute to fluid and controlled mogul

skiing.

Clinic Experiences:

-- The clinic leader and participants will collaborate to determine a relevant goal related to

mogul skiing.

-- The participants will ski intermediate and advanced moguls.

-- The clinic leader will demonstrate fluid and controlled mogul skiing

-- The clinic leader will provide feedback so participants are able to make specific

adjustments.

-- The clinic leader will facilitate practice so participants may apply their feedback

-- The clinic leader will facilitate reflection on the day's goals and what helped them create

control and fluidity in the moguls.



Additional Event Details:





All PSIA-AASI members must follow the PSIA-AASI code of conduct.

All members participating in an Intermountain clinic or assessment must wear a helmet when sliding on snow using lift-accessed terrain.
