Course Description:

Our Fundamental Mountain Bike Clinic is designed for new and returning riders who want to build solid, confident skills on the trail. Participants will learn and practice core techniques including body positioning, balance, braking, shifting, cornering, climbing and descending. The clinic begins with a brief bike safety check and equipment overview, followed by on-grass skills and drills before moving onto an easy trail section to apply new skills in real-world terrain.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of the session, riders will be more comfortable handling small obstacles, choosing safe lines and controlling speed so they can enjoy local trails with greater control and ease. We will also explore how many of the same fundamentals apply on dirt and on snow.

All PSIA-AASI members must follow the PSIA-AASI code of conduct.

All members participating in an Intermountain clinic or assessment must wear a helmet when sliding on snow using lift-accessed terrain.
