Please choose your first session (Choose 1 option):
- Teaching Without a Progression - Multidiscipline (9-10:10AM)
October 10, 2026 from 9:00 am to 10:10 am (18 spots left) *
Presented by Kyle Peterson, Training Manager at Sun Valley
How do we optimize learning for our students? This presentation will emphasize the importance of focusing on a specific skill to develop for your students, and how to enhance long term retention with a single activity and/or coaching cue.
- Upper/Lower Body Separation in Alpine Skiing (9-10:10AM)
October 10, 2026 from 9:00 am to 10:10 am (10 spots left) *
Presented by Dr. Collin Bywaters, Alpine Ed Staff and Physical Therapist.
Have you been told that you do not have enough "separation" or need more "counter" in your skiing? This presentation will explore "Countered relationships" in theory and practice, including the body regions responsible for creating countered relationships. Do you have movement restrictions that interfere with developing these relationships, or do you just need more mindful training to achieve them. You will leave this presentation with actionable strategies to help level up your skiing.
- QiGong - Multidiscipline (9-10:10AM)
October 10, 2026 from 9:00 am to 10:10 am (8 spots left) *
Coached by Layla Ward, Wellspring QiGong
QiGong is an ancient Chinese health and healing practice that consists of movement, breathing and focused meditation to increase strength, flexibility and balance.
- Skate to Ski (9-10:10AM)
October 10, 2026 from 9:00 am to 10:10 am (8 spots left) *
Coached by Ashley Watts, Alpine Ed Staff
Improve your balance, edging, weight transfer, and skating efficiency. Using inline skates as a dryland training tool, you'll develop movement patterns that translate directly to alpine skiing while building confidence and fitness before the snow flies. This is not a learn-to-skate clinic; participants should already be comfortable skating. The focus is on using skates to practice and refine skiing skills that carry over to the snow. Participants must provide their own inline skates and helmet.
