Course Description:
This novel clinic brings together instructors pursuing Levels 1, 2, and 3 certification in a collaborative learning environment. Participants will receive individualized coaching and feedback in personal skiing, technical understanding, movement analysis, teaching and people skills. The clinic leader will tailor activities to participant goals, to create opportunities for peer learning, mentoring, and certification-focused development. Classic and skate equipment will be used depending on conditions.
Learning Objectives
- Identify strengths, growth opportunities, and next steps toward certification success.
- Strengthen technical understanding and movement analysis skills.
- Develop effective communication and people skills in instructional settings.
- Learn through peer mentoring, teaching scenarios, and collaborative feedback.
Learning Activities
- Review certification standards and assessment criteria for Levels 1, 2, and 3.
- Improve skiing skills through individualized feedback in classic and skate techniques.
- Practice teaching and coaching strategies aligned with certification expectations.

Additional Event Details:
This is a certification prep clinic designed to help prepare members for the next level of certification. Clinic leaders will assess needs and desires of the group members and facilitate learning experiences to help candidates know what to expect at assessment events, and identify gaps between their current performance and the certification standards.
Candidate will get the most of of this prep clinic by first completing the online workbook for their cert level in advance.
All PSIA-AASI members must follow the PSIA-AASI code of conduct.
All members participating in an Intermountain clinic or assessment must wear a helmet when sliding on snow using lift-accessed terrain.
