Intro to Nordic: Classic and Skate in One Day
This overview of Classic and Skate Cross Country ski disciplines will draw on participants existing knowledge to experience new ways of getting around on skis. Cross-discipline clinics like this also bring to light learning that is applicable to participants' home discipline.
Conditions permitting, the morning will be oriented toward Classic (diagonal stride, double pole, hill techniques), while the afternoon will get into Skate Ski techniques (V-1 or V2, hill techniques). Rental equipment may be available on site, or in town; participants should plan ahead to secure gear prior to the clinic day.
All PSIA-AASI members must follow the PSIA-AASI code of conduct.
All members participating in an Intermountain clinic or assessment must wear a helmet when sliding on snow using lift-accessed terrain.
