Course Description:

This training event is for CURRENT DEV TEAM MEMBERS ONLY.

The Dev Team process is designed to select a group of instructors capable of completing is a long-term, in-depth process that trains future DECL staff.

Other requirements of the Dev Team include:

• Identify a training mentor from the active DECL staff

• Completing a self assessment of their technical, teaching and people skills

• Create a training plan that identifies training priorities

• Make a training schedule

• Ongoing check-ins with mentor (A minimum of three/winter)

• Attend all scheduled DECL & Dev Team training each winter (including this event)

• Shadow events in the priority of: Level 1, Level 2 Prep, Level 2, Level 3 Prep, Level 3

• Dev Team meetings (Online) - These will be held as needed, and are likely to include discussion of assigned readings.

All PSIA-AASI members must follow the PSIA-AASI code of conduct.

All members participating in an Intermountain clinic or assessment must wear a helmet when sliding on snow using lift-accessed terrain.
